Resident Assistant
Resident Assistants:
• Teach and assist the residents of SON Valley in all areas of personal care. Personal care includes ALL hygiene tasks to include bathing, shaving, flossing, brushing of teeth, hair grooming, nail clipping, cleaning residents after accidents, and other needs that may arise, etc;
• Teach and provide housekeeping skills;
• Teach and prepare meals for the residents;
• Supervise and participate in social and recreational activities. This includes on and off SON Valley grounds;
• Write non-technical reports on individual behaviors and activities (Excellent/ Informative & Behavior Reports);
• Provide hands-on assistance in implementing the residents’ individual Written Training Plans, particularly in those programs relating to improving the residents’ self-help and personal care skills;
• Inventory all clothing and other items belonging to the residents;
• Follow work schedule as assigned;
• Attend and participate in all related in-service training sessions;
• Perform ALL other responsibilities and duties that are listed in the SON Valley’s Policies and Procedures Policy and Safety Manuals.
